Tim Shand's approach to Gamay feels more in line with Beaujolais Cru production, with a focus of quality. Heavy shoot thinning and green cropping bring a lot of concentrated fruit presence to the wine as well as gentle handling in the winery. the wine has fragrant red berries and juniper on the nose and subtle notes of cinnamon and a moreish earthy pepper on the back palate.
