Sustainability Statement

The National Wine Centre of Australia has a commitment to ensuring environmental best practice. This is demonstrated in the Centre’s operations, products and services through a commitment to recycling and waste management, water conservation, energy and operational efficiency and sustainable and local procurement programmes, together with the education and commitment of staff, internal and external stakeholders with respect to “green choices” and initiatives.

Owned by the University of Adelaide, the National Wine Centre is involved with on-Campus sustainability activities and projects, as part of the University Sustainability plan and also participates in programmes committed to supporting some of the most vulnerable people in the Community.

The National Wine Centre has established partnerships with OzHarvest and Fred’s Van and works in collaboration with other charitable organisations in support of their community programs.

With a Sustainability Committee tasked with continual review of environmental practices, strategies and targets, the Centre has a focus on firmly instilling the philosophy of environmental best practice across the National Wine Centre organisation.
