Operations & WHS Administration Executive

The National Wine Centre of Australia (NWC) is one of Adelaide’s leading hospitality venues situated in the vibrant East End of the CBD. Our unique architectural building is surrounded by the green space of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and parklands. The venue plays host to over 50,000 international, national and local visitors per year, in addition to hosting over 800 events.

The NWC is a showcase and focal point for Australia’s wine industry and as such, it has become a beloved landmark for food and wine lovers across the country who have engaged in the range of wine tourism and event experiences on offer.

We are seeking a dedicated Operations & WHS Administration Executive to provide essential administrative and WHS support to our operations and wider team. This newly created role, reporting to the Operations Manager, will provide administrative and secretarial services, engage with stakeholders and assist management. The role also provides valuable exposure to Health, Safety, and Wellbeing processes and plays a pivotal role in maintaining the WHS system.  While prior experience in WHS is not essential, a strong interest in WHS is preferred. We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive professional who is eager to contribute ideas and improve internal practices.

The role requires candidates to have a strong administration background demonstrating the following attributes, skills and capabilities:

Person Specification:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe)
  • Experience in using reporting systems and generating reports for stakeholders, including data analysis using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to learn new systems & software (Skytrust, Rapid Global)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in an administrative or coordinator role (essential)
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively across multiple teams and build strong professional relationships
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

This role is envisaged to be full-time in nature, however consideration will be given to those who would prefer a part-time arrangement.
