Macedon Ranges and it's surroundings have established a small (216ha) but incredibly quality focus region just north of Melbourne. Joshua Cooper, the son of Nelly and Allan Cooper, the founders of the acclaimed Cobaw Ridge winery is adding significantly to the reputation of the region. The Captains Creek vineyard is a small organic vineyard just outside the Macedon region in an area unofficially known as Western Victoria. The wine ages one year in oak on full lees with no interference before being transferred to stainless steel for a further 6 months elevage.

The wine has tightly wound acidity with minerality nuances and flavours of Lemon curd, Green apple, fresh almond and citrus blossom.

Lethbridge is the story of three friends, Ray Nadeson, Maree Collis and Adrian Thomas who whilst working in science and medicine decided to have a crack at winemaking. Allegra is sourced from low yielding, 35year old vines near Mount Duneed in Geelong. The fruit was whole bunch pressed directly into 100% new French oak puncheons. The wine was then fermented and left on gross lees for 15 before blending and bottling. Rich and vibrant oak, flint and biscuit aromas are contrasted by tight grapefruit and lemon acidity.

Rich pear, ripe apple and dried honey flavours have a fullish, rounded mid palate feel underscored by quince, citrus and subtle spice. Excellent concentration finishing dry with good fresh acidity. The aftertaste long and luscious with lightly spiced pear, quince and dried honey characters.
