About the Wine

Klein Constantia 2015 Vintage Brut- Located in the sprawling suburbs of Cape Town, Klein Constantia was established in 1685. Sourced from one of the oldest chardonnay blocks on the property and made as a vintage sparkling every year, it offers stone fruit, citrus and hints of brioche. 33 months lees aging, 100% Chardonnay 5.9g/L RS.

Coates Blanc De Blancs 2016 - Another 100% Chardonnay but this time from the Adelaide Hills. This wine was aged in seasoned French oak for 18month prior to second fermentation giving the wine a developed character and intense aromas of yellow fruit and sweet pastries matched with a zingy but creamy mousse.

Swift Cuvee Brut NV - Orange, NSW doesn't immediately strike you as an excellent sparkling region but the elevated slopes of the nearby hills provide winemakers with excellent cool climate sites. 5 years of aging and the inclusion of 30% reserve wine make this a rich, developed sparkling wine with hints of strawberry to freshen the palate. 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir.

Albert Mann Cremant D'Alsace 2018 Extra Brut DOCG - Although overshadowed by Champagne, Alsace produces some of France's best sparkling wines (Cremant). What makes the region special is the use of other Non Traditional grape varieties. The Albert Mann is a 2018 vintage sparkling consisting of 47% Pinot Blanc, 31% Auxerrois, 15% Pinot Noir and 7% Riesling. Fresh and lively with a very dry palate showing white florals, biscuit aromas and apricot.

Marchese Antinori Cuvee Royale NV DOCG - Franciacorta is Italy's answer to Champagne and one of it's best kept secrets. Marchese Antinori has been producing sparkling from a variable blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc since 1999. The wine has a vivacitious white peach and bread crust aroma that makes it especially moorish.

Gusbourne Brut Reserve 2014 - As the climate warms and viticultural techniques improve, England has become hot property for Champagne houses and homegrown talent alike. Gusbourne's Brut reserve in 2014 was a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 22% Chardonnay and18% Pinot Meunier. The added Pinot Noir brings an intensity of Red apple and strawberries to the palate as well as come beautiful poached pear aromas. 36 months lees aging, 8g/L RS.
