Stuart Dudine is the man behind Alkimi with his range of wines sourced from both the Yarra Valley and Heathcote. This Grenache is Pinot Noir-esqe in style and sourced from a single vineyard in Heathcote with the fruit split into three different batches. One of the batches went through carbonic maceration which is evident on the nose with a sweet, confectionary raspberry bubble-gum note coming through. The wine has some nice tannin and savoury notes to finish.
