John Brocksopp has been the viticulturalist behind Leeuwin Estate over many years and the pull of beautiful Pemberton eventually drew him down to make his own wines. The Lillian Marsanne, Roussanne is just delightful with white peaches on the nose and across the palate, lovely weight and lively acid. One to sit back and appreciate someone's talents.

Head Somm James Boden says: “The Pannell family established Moss Wood in Margaret River in 1969 and then moved to Pemberton to establish Picardy. Known for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the Merlot blend is a great example of Australian Merlot which reminds me of solid right bank Bordeaux blends. Savoury with cigar box nose, underlying red fruit. 40% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.”

With its amazing Burgundy like stone walls and immaculate vineyards, it is easy to see why this winery is right up there. The 2019 Pinot Noir has delicate cherry notes, brambly forest floor fruit and poised tannin.
