Wine (290)
Alpine Valleys, VIC

Anderson & Marsh is the Alpine Valleys duo of Eleana Anderson (Mayford Wines) and Jo Marsh (Billy Button) and this is their first crack at Albarino, which is definitely Albarino and not Savagnin. Some first attempt with steely apple drive, a touch of spice and lees work with texture and acid in harmony.

VEGAN

Alpine Valleys, VIC

A Methode Traditional from Eleana Anderson of Mayford and Jo Marsh of Billy Button Wines.

Margaret River, WA

A powerful expression of southern Margaret River Chardonnay!

King Valley, VIC

Lennie Lister is somewhat of a long gunman in the small Victorian region of Glenrowan (although Ned Kelly is probably the more famous of the two). He produces lo-fi small batch wines from multiple vineyard sites in North East Victoria.

Hunter Valley, NSW
Pemberton, WA

Head Somm James Boden says: "For those that haven’t been to Pemberton, you are truly missing out.. First is the amazing gum trees that soar towards the sun, then you have the amazing Lake Beedlup and to top it off you have the wine region that produces stunning wine. This is one of the local wineries you only hear about if you head there and the Riesling is just delicious."

Macedon Ranges, VIC

The Kostas Rind Chardonnay is grown on a tiny 1.5 hectare plot. The chardonnay is hand picked and whole bunch pressed into 20% new French oak barrels. 300-600 dozen bottles produced. The wine is mineral with ripe citrus, stone fruit and subtle nuttiness. The palate is rich but well constrained by the acidity leaving a long pleasant finish.

Great Southern, WA
Intense lime juice backed by a delicate fragrance of orange blossom and lavender giving a bouquet that is zesty and fresh, yet also of great depth. The feature of the palate is the tightly wound structure that is enveloped by beautiful rich lime juice fruit characters.
Murray Darling, NSW

This the first Ribolla Gialla in Australia. It is light bodied, racy and with a lime/lemon nose, also a faint hazelnut or biscuit note on the nose. Perhaps lemon barley cordial aromas. The palate is lean and fresh with a slight hint of subtle tropical fruit.

Tasmania, TAS
Fine but flavoursome, with apple and citrus, a whiff of sulphide/struck match complexity, fennel, and spicy oak in discreet mode. There’s a nice energy and crunch, flinty feel, and a tight finish of impressive length.
Henty, VICSANSW

Head Somm James Boden says: "Bee and the Thompson family at Crawford River make some of the most stunning wines in Australia. They are known for the Riesling (most complimented Riesling by other winemakers) and the Cabernet Sauvignon but this one sneaks under the radar. An SBS blend that spends 11 months in older oak with the perfect balance of fruit, oak and texture."

Macedon Ranges, VIC

An aromatic nose of white stone fruit infused with fragrant lime blossom and fennel along with hints of struck match and wheatmeal which provide further complexity. Nectarine, white peach, and pear merge with grapefruit citrus, all lining up to be embraced by the cool charge of acidity. Subtle French oak and creamy lees provide both a savoury and textural frame for luxurious length.

Geelong, VIC
Aromas of white flowers, lemons, limes and orange zest waft from the glass. The palate is lively, intensely flavoured and complex with peach, grapefruit and lime characters plus hints of mandarin and apple. The bright acidity of the wine drives a seemingly endless palate with lemon and grapefruit flavours lingering in the aftertaste.
Margaret River, WA

Passion fruit and orange blossom laced with exotic notes of lychee and clove. A creamy mouth filling palate delights the senses with an unexpected richness and depth of flavour.

Margaret River, WA
Southern Highlands, NSW

Head Somm James Boden says: "Far Ago Hill has a focus on all things Pinot Gris with Katrina Hill at the helm. The wine comes from the picturesque region of Southern Highlands in NSW and I am really excited by the wine coming from the small region. This Pinot Gris is all things that I love about Pinot Gris, great texture with a touch of spiced apple…delicious."

Hunter Valley, NSW

Fruit driven with careful integration of the best French Oak available gives the wine depth and texture, complementing the fresh stone fruit and citrus with slatey minerality in this Hunter Valley Chardonnay.

Mornington Peninsula, VIC
Yarra Valley, VIC
The consistently warm summer produced a wine with slightly higher alcohol than usual, resulting in a sauvignon blanc with more body, giving it a rich mouth feel, while maintaining its herbaceous flavours.
Yarra Valley, VIC

Head Somm James Boden says: “Giant Steps is one of the most consistent performers for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir out of the Yarra Valley. The Applejack vineyard was planted in 1997 by Ray Guerin and sits at 320m above sea level. This Chardonnay has some subtle smoke and salinity to complement the stone fruit, toasty nuts and abundant citrus flavours.

Yarra Valley, VIC

Classic Chardonnay with stone fruit, toasty nuts and balance of acid and texture.

Margaret River, WA

65% Sauvignon Blanc, 35% Semillon. A cool season produced slow ripening of the fruit, with flavour ripeness occurring at a lower than normal sugar level. This contributed to an aromatic profile with fresh passionfruit, lemon sherbet, lime blossom and herbs. The palate enjoys the same flavours with partial barrel fermentation supporting the fruit and helping to enhance texture and fruit weight. Delicate mineral acidity drives the wine and provides a long and crisp finish.

Margaret River, WA

This is the first time we have utilized our block of semillon for a dessert wine. We love semillon and its unique varietal characters are on show in this sticky unctuous style. Bright lifted lime blossom, apricot and fresh herb aromas excite the senses before delivering a sweet bomb of delicate fruit entwined in mineral acidity, which drives the wine and provides a long and balanced finish. This wine will integrate and resolve further, and develop texture and more complexity over time, improving for many years to come. It drinks beautifully now but will reward patience for those willing to wait 5-15 years.

Macedon Ranges, VIC

Head Somm James Boden says: “ In this line of work you get a lot of tips about different wineries.. I was told by Pat Carmody (Craiglee) that I need to get in touch with Llew and get his wines in from Granite Hills. A phone call later with Llew and we learnt about one of the first wineries in Macedon Ranges. Thank you Pat- this wine is stunning with poised tension, lime and mineral drive.”

Clare Valley, SA

There’s an initial shyness on the nose, not surprising given the history of Grosset Polish Hill; and more restrained than some recent releases. This initial restraint gives way to a slowly evolving, yet increasingly intense, pure lime perfume. The palate is tight yet features amazingly intense lime pith and lime juice flavours while the impressive weight and steely backbone are characteristic of the style. It finishes crisp, clean and mouth-puckering: the length is staggering.

Clare Valley, SA

Springvale is an exceptional six hectare vineyard within a larger site at Watervale. The soil here is red loam over limestone with an unusual Slate Bedrock and is an ACO certified organic and biodynamic vineyard.

The wine is a citrus showcase with notes of Kaffir Limes, Lemon Curd and Lemon drops. A great wine from what was considered a challenging vintage.

Adelaide Hills, SA
Adelaide Hills, SA

Head Som James Boden says: "Hahndorf Hill were one of the first wineries to plant and make Gruner Veltliner, putting Gruner on the map in the Adelaide Hills to the point where there is now a category for the best Gruner at the Adelaide Hills Wine Show! This is everything Gruner with white peach, pepper and a great line of acidity. A perfect example of the varietal and dedication in a bottle."

Canberra District, ACT
It's a delicious, young and crisp wine. Lemon essence aromatics with grapefruit, white flowers, and wild honey – alluring and complex
Geelong, VIC

Whole bunch pressed and fermented with indigenous yeast in French oak Puncheons, with one fifth new. Gentle cut grass & lantana blossom on the edges with extra dimension thanks to time in barrel. Excellent stuff.
