Wined Bar Supervisor
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, enthusiastic hospitality professional and leader to join this award-winning venue in the role of Wined Bar Supervisor.
The National Wine Centre of Australia (NWC) is one of Adelaide’s leading hospitality venues situated in the vibrant East End of the CBD, in close proximity to the emerging Lot Fourteen precinct, which will include Tarrkarri – Centre for First Nations Cultures in the future.
Our unique architectural building is surrounded by the green space of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and parklands. The NWC is a showcase and focal point for Australia’s wine industry and as such, it has become a beloved landmark for food and wine lovers across the country who have engaged in the range of wine tourism and event experiences on offer.
The Wined Bar provides exceptional food, wine, coffee and customer service to visitors of the Centre. Our cellar door offers over 120 fine Australian wines to taste & purchase, and is open 7 days. Boasting state-of-the-art Enomatic machines (wine serving & preserving system) and an innovative menu.
Reporting to the Wined Bar Manager, the successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day management of the outlet while maintaining the NWC’s exceptional service standards.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a café / restaurant / cellar door environment (essential).
Previous experience in leading a team will be highly regarded.
Wine knowledge (especially Australian wines) will be highly regarded.
7-day availability to work a rotating roster (trading hours below).
Good coffee knowledge and the ability to consistently produce high quality coffees in a high volume/fast paced environment.
The ability to build rapport with regular clients.
Strong customer focus & excellent personal presentation.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
A current RSA certificate valid in SA (essential).
Applicants must display initiative, be highly self-motivated and possess exceptional hospitality and communication skills.
