The National Wine Centre of Australia (NWC) is one of Adelaide’s leading hospitality venues situated in the vibrant East End of the CBD, in close proximity to the emerging Lot Fourteen precinct. 

Our unique architectural building is surrounded by the green space of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and parklands. The NWC is a showcase and focal point for Australia’s wine industry and as such, it has become a beloved landmark for food and wine lovers across the country who have engaged in the range of wine tourism and event experiences on offer. 

The NWC’s Wined Bar provides exceptional food, wine, coffee and customer service to visitors of the Centre.Our cellar door offers over 120 fine Australian wines to taste & purchase and is open 7 days. Boasting state-of-the-art Enomatic machines (wine serving& preservation system) and an innovative menu.

The opportunity exists for an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our dynamic kitchen team on a full-time basis in our Wined Bar kitchen.

The successful candidates must have the following skills, experience & availability:

  • Formal qualification in Commercial Cookery;
  • Substantial restaurant or café experience;
  • A demonstrated understanding of food costs and inventory control;
  • An excellent understanding of food, hygiene and WHS practices;
  • Availability to work over a 7-day rotating roster;
  • Effective communication & teamwork skills.

 

This role is ideally suited to a team player who is prepared to take direction and work in a very busy environment.Initiative and a commitment to following safe work practices is essential. Renumeration will be dependent commensurate with experience.

The Wined Bar’s current tradinghours are:

·       Monday           8:30am–5pm

·       Tuesday          8:30am–5pm

·       Wednesday     8:30am–5pm

·       Thursday         8:30am–5pm

·       Friday              8:30am–9pm

·       Saturday         9am–6pm

·       Sunday            9am–5pm
